Project: Epoxy resin on a wooden tray

Generating design concept

The new one must cover an undesirable design and will blend well with the home’s rustic and rural style.

Design concept:

For the new artwork textured, natural-looking wallpaper was cut and glued to the base of the tray which covered perfectly the old design.

The required ferns and wild flowers were pressed, dried and ironed. The dried foliage and blossoms were positioned and adhered with glue prior to the application of the initial layer of epoxy.
The first layer of epoxy didn’t provide a complete cover. The second coating created a glass-like look and feel and added an exquisite 3D effect.

The design outcome exceeded all expectations and provided an ideal design solution for a provincial style home.
